Swedish Massage
Swedish Massage was originally developed in Sweden in the 1700's. It is the use of a variety of techniques, strokes and pressure to promote muscle relaxation and general stress relief by releasing toxins, increasing oxygen flow in the blood, and stretching tissues.

Neuromuscular Massage Therapy (NMT)
Massage that focuses on bringing balance to the nervous system as well as the musculoskeletal system.

Craniosacral Therapy
A gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of the craniosacral body system by releasing restrictions in the flow of cerebrospinal fluid, relieving stress, decreasing pain and improving overall central nervous system health

Myofascial Release
Manual massage technique for stretching fascia and releasing bonds between fascia, muscles and bones.

Reiki
Energy work that intentionally focuses on the use of channeling Universal Life Force Energy (often referred to as "Chi") to promote healing and well-being.

Maya Abdominal Massage
A non-invasive, external massage technique that guides internal abdominal organs into their proper position for optimum health and well being. Organ function is improved by the release of physical and emotional congestion from the abdomen.

Trigger Point Therapy
Manual techniques of pressure application to trigger points (tender or "knotted" muscle points) to relieve pain and dysfunction, and re-educate chronically hypertonic muscle tissue to be in a relaxed state.

Oncology Massage
Massage by a therapist trained to consider the various physical/emotional needs and precautions involved in working with client's living with cancer, receiving cancer treatment and facing end of life.

Geriatric Massage
Massage by a therapist trained to consider the various physical/emotional needs and precautions involved in working with the elderly.

Prenatal Massage
Massage by a therapist trained in the unique needs of pregnant women, with special considerations for positioning, prenatal musculoskeletal changes and knowledge of contraindications.

Zero Balance
Gentle, non-invasive form of bodywork that integrates enhanced energy flow and balance with structural balance to promote healing and well-being.

Aromatherapy
The use of Essential Oils, or other aromatic compounds from plants to promote healing and well-being.

Stone Massage
The use of heat-retaining basalt and cool sedimentary stones to promote thermal conduction to the body and bring about local and systemic changes in the body's physical and energy centers.

Comfort Touch
A nurturing, comforting massage form that gives special consideration to the physical and emotional needs of the elderly and/or ill client, with a primary intention of pain relief and deep relaxation.

Reflexology
A form of therapeutic treatment applied to the feet and sometimes to the hands based on the concept that there are reflex areas on the hands and feet that mirror all of the body parts and systems. Pressure applied to areas of the feet and hands can relieve congestion in corresponding body areas, bringing pain relief and healing.

Sport Massage
A special form of massage that focuses on enhancing athletic performance by decreasing muscle fatigue, relieving swelling, reducing muscle tension and promoting flexibility. It is used for both athletic performance preparation and post-athletic performance recovery.

Breast Massage
Massage of the breasts by a trained therapist to promote breast health primarily by enhancing blood and lymph flow and drainage. Breast massage can be particularly beneficial for women with breast pain, breast injuries, and post-surgical breast conditions.

Shiatsu
A Japanese form of bodywork that employs stretching, movement and pressure along energy lines (meridians), to promote good health and healing by stimulating the body's energy flow and relieving areas of congestion or blockage.
