Deborah Clague has been a practicing massage therapist for over 25 years. She initially trained at The Golden Door, an exclusive health spa in southern California. She subsequently took courses in psycho-structural re-integration (myofascial release), Rejuvanessence Therapy and Indian Head Massage. In 2005 she graduated from the Fuller Circles School of Massage, Waterville, to obtain her Maine massage license, adding Shiatsu, Reflexology, chair & sports massage, Cranial sacral, and Muscle Energy techniques to her repertoire. Deborah's therapeutic approach is eclectic. She has developed her own unique micro-movement technique which releases obstinate muscles through a slow gentle treatment, with profound results.

Her attitude to body work is holistic, with a strong focus on the body's self healing abilities and the balance of mind, body and spirit. Deborah has always incorporated education and self-care in her therapeutic sessions. She draws on a wide field of study in her work including meditation; nutrition; yoga; stretching; exercise; and theatre, singing and dance.

Deborah's clients include the physically active as well as those suffering acute and/or chronic injuries. She has a particular interest in serving the elderly, and those with chronic or terminal illnesses.

She is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Social Work at the University of Maine Orono with an interest in geriatrics. In May she completes a year internship with the Maine Hospice Council.

Deborah is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association.

As well as having an independent practice, Deborah also works as part of the massage therapy team at Health Quest Chiropractic Clinic in Farmington.
